Rotary Club of Northam
"A joint international project between the Rotary Club of Northam
and the Institute of Mental Health, the largest mental health hospital in Singapore,
has become a success with caregivers and patients there.
The team from the Northam club made a Rotary Friendship trip to Singapore
at the start of the year and were hosted by a senior team at the hospital.
Besides giving a tour of the hospital they showcased
the extent the project has helped caregivers and patients in mental health issues.
Head of Social Work department, Ms Lillian Fe Mark,
said that the hospital is very grateful to the Northam club
in supporting and helping it create and design a mental health website.
This additional website made a big difference in providing very useful information
and guidance for caregivers who are supporting family members
and relatives with mental health issues.

Edward Hollingdale attended Canberra’s Session A of the National Youth Science Forum
which is for top science students just commencing Yr. 12.

Marion de Quillacqfrom Bourges in France gave us a great insight into her Country,
her Birthplace Paris and her current residence in Bourges where she attends school.
Marion made the comparison in size of Australia v France
where Australia is 14 times larger in area and France has three times our population.

Jonathon has recently returned from his exchange to Brazil,
home of past inbound student Marina Figueiredo Magalhães in 2009.
His opening address was made in Portuguese
with translation provided by his Father Bill who was in attendance

Turning 60 two years ago, I took a lot of good-natured ribbing from family and friends. So as my wife's 60th birthday approached, I decided to get in some needling of my own. I sat her down, looked deep into her eyes, then said I had never made love to anyone who was over 60 years old.
"Oh, well, I have," she deadpanned. "It's not that great."
