for mental health research.
We're asking organisations, clubs, businesses
and others to show their support for the 1 in 5
people suffering a mental illness.
100% of the funds you raise will go directly
to mental health research projects around Australia
through Australian Rotary Health.

A great night at our 60th/changeover dinner on Monday.

It then turned out that one of our members
(Honorary) Warren Johnston and Barbara were in the DG training session
when Cliff was coming in as RI president -
Warren can still fit into his red coat and was wearing it on Monday.
So when we learned this I played the "If I was President Again" video
in which Cliff was wearing his red coat

It was a midnight departure for Anson, from Taiwan,
who has been hosted by the Rotary Club of Wanneroo.

Rotary Club of Hannans Kalgoorlie
Last week we farewelled the Horsley family
who are relocating to the Metro area.
Lorraine was our last remaining charter member
and she will be fondly remembered for her passion to literacy
and the youth in the Goldfields.
Lorraine was instrumental in initiating a program
to give a book to each child at the East Kalgoorlie Primary School,
now in its 15th year.
Children from the school made cards to thank Lorraine
and her family for their contribution and along with newspaper articles,
a collage was made as a parting gift that we are sure
will be pride of place in their new house.
Geoff has been the ever dependable Rotarian
with his cool and calming attitude
and sheer determination to get the job down!
Geoff and Lorraine maintained an active involvement
in the club over the past 20 years while raising their family
and in turn their children have been involved along the way,
helping at book sales, sausage sizzle and the list goes on.
We wish them every success as their journey in life changes location.
The whole family will be sadly missed by the Rotarians
of the Rotary Club of Hannans-Kalgoorlie
and the wider community of Kalgoorlie-Boulder

Beanie and Socks Night.
It was great to see so many members at our last meeting
bringing in beanies and socks to help those in need on these cold nights.
The donated items will be shared between St Patrick’s, Sista’s Place and Wesleylink.
The meeting was our “Socks and Beanies Night”.
We all brought in socks and beanies to donate to people in need.
One box was full to overflowing with beanies of all shapes, colours
and sizes and another box was filled with socks.

The Rotary Club of Ballajura-Malaga is holding its Annual Fair

on Sunday 17th August 2014.
The Fair is designed to give enjoyment to the whole family

with multicultural displays, dancing, clowns, fairground activities,
craft, food & novelty stalls & more.
Admission to the fair is by gold coin donation

will go towards community projects.

with Cancer by providing support services
and the only 24 hour Cancer Support phone line in Australia.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL is a unique photographic exhibition
and book project celebrating the life
and stories of people touched by cancer.
The project is organized by Cancer Support WA
in partnership with Master Photographer Janet Craig
and other sponsors.
The purpose of You are Beautiful
is to bring awareness to the untold stories of people with cancer,
and to raise funds for Cancer Support WA.

The aim of the campaign is to share the diverse personal stories
of people who have experienced difficulty and trauma of cancer
then found their strength, joy and will to live.
The portraits and stories are to be displayed
in a public exhibition in 2015.
The campaign will bring public awareness to the effects of cancer
on West Australian families and to work of the Cancer Support WA
