NEED FOR DRUG AND ALCOHOL EDUCATION

It has become very evident over the past 24 months
from Survey Information conducted by Mission Australia
and McCusker Foundation along with the WA Government Reports
from the Education and Health Standing Committee that Drug and Alcohol Education
is desperately needed for our youth.

Who is Demanding Life Education’s Programs?

Both Government and Private Primary Schools from Meekatharra in the North
to Collie in the South and schools in-between
continually book the Life Education Program
to assist them with their Health and Welfare programs.

Who is Funding the Programs?

A number of Rotary Clubs along with Corporate Partners,
Private Donors and Parents (STILL NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING)
continue to support this great need by our community.

How can you HELP?

Join other Rotary Clubs in funding the various operating costs
(student books, towing of the mobile class rooms, ongoing maintenance etc)
or sponsor a school in your area.

AROUND the CLUBS

WANNEROO ROTARY CLUB
The Hillarys and Wanneroo clubs had a combined fund raising event
courtesy of the BIA at the Boat Show
held at the Hillarys Marina over the 3 days 15th to the 17th March.
This was to raise funds for the Dreamfit Foundation
that modify buggy’s, motorbikes, boats, hovercraft etc
to enable disabled people access and drive vehicles
that to now are impossible for them.

We used the area around our Dolphin Wishing Well
and Dreamfit had a large proportion of their vehicles
and equipment on display for the general public.
This was the first time we held this event and raised $3,383.00 for Dreamfit
to assist with the great work that they do.

The Clown on stilts paid us a visit and kept us entertained for awhile.
Visit the Dreamfit Foundation Wesite to see what they have to offer the disabled people.

Dear Harry and the Rotary Club of Manjimup,

I have been here for 7 weeks already and time is flying by! I am loving my

On arrival in Denmark I was greeted by my councillor and his wife as well as
all three of my host families.

Magic Clerk

A Pat of butter (named Steve)
has lived a long, satisfying life.
He's very content with it,
and he realizes that he should end his life here,
on a happy note. However, before he does so,
he wants to cross a few things off of his
 "butter list".

First, Steve finds a nearby piece of toast,
and hops onto it.
He spreads himself out,
and relaxes there for a little while.
It's fun,
but he still doesn't feel completely fulfilled with his life.

Next, Steve searches for a second starchy food to hang out on.
 He picks a bagel,
and stays even longer than he did on the toast.
The feeling of being split into a circle revs his engine,

Finally, Steve finds a third food and spreads on it.
He stays a very long time,
and another piece of butter comes over to see what's going on.
 Joe tells him,
"I wanted to experience some new things before I die.
But now that I've done all of them,
I think it's a good time to go.
Nice knowing you!"

He is about to pass away when the other butter stops him.
 "Wait, Steve!" he cries.
 "Don't stop now; you're on a roll!"

For the Collingwood Supporters

What do you call a line of uninformed voters standing ear to ear?
A wind tunnel.
