The club's meeting on Wednesday 10 February 2016

saw recently elected Town of Cambridge Mayor Keri Shannon

addressing the members.

She gave a very insightful address on the Challenge of Infill

- the philosophical versus the practical debate

, a subject which has caused considerable debate in

the town,

Here Mayor Keri Shannon is seen being presented

with a certificate of honorary membership

by Club President Jermy Wood.

have both benefited from a generous grant from South32

to revamp the ramp to the jetty.

The old mod wood has been replaced

with a fantastic low maintenance product

that will provide accessibility for everyone for years to come.

Marindi Fabrication completed the work in record time

and will also be commencing work on extending the railing shortly.

This week the club hosted a "Welcome Back to R.S.L" BBQ and Auction
to help raise funds for the R.S.L to send three students to Hell Fire Pass
. Guest Speakers for the night were former Club President's
John Crosse and Ken Allen who regaled us with stories
about Rotary's history at the R.S.L hall.
Christine from the R.S.L spoke to us about the project
to send the three students to visit Hell Fire Pass
and RSL President Ian Heberle presented them with travel journals.
The students will come back from their trip
and give us all a personal encounter of the experiences on their journey.
